PhD student and post-doctoral fellow positions in massspectrometry metabolomics and proteomics

The SHLOMI LAB studies how cellular metabolism is rewired in cancer cells and

how this can be exploited for cancer diagnosis and treatment

(https://metsysbio.net.technion.ac.il/). We combine quantitative experimental biology

approaches, analytical chemistry, and computational modeling.

Research projects:

• Developing LC-MS methods for metabolomics and isotope tracing and their 

application to identify metabolic reprogramming in cancer

• Developing high-throughput untargeted metabolomics and lipidomics methods 

for disease diagnosis and drug screening

• Developing sub-one minute proteomics methods

Requirements: 

• Academic degree in analytical chemistry/biochemistry/biotechnology

• Experience in liquid chromatography and high-resolution mass spectrometry 

• Knowledge in data analysis (an advantage)

• Knowledge in cellular metabolism (an advantage)
